Fire-Guard
is a marvellously effective product with the propensity to substantially retard
fire or flames on coated substrates such as thatch, bamboo, timber, wood, reeds,
cardboard, masonite, etc.
Fire-Guard is applied by spray, (Knap sack) or other spray applicators as well as brush or thatch can also be soaked.
Fire-Guard
also has very good waterproofing, weatherproofing and protecting properties.
Fire-Guard
is uv stable thus has a prolonged outdoor life expectancy.
Fire-Guard
can be sprayed or brushed onto the
chosen substrate or, as in the case of new
thatch grass, this can be soaked in a bath of
Fire-Guard
for a few minutes before being allowed to dry for a couple of hours prior to
installation.
For
existing Thatch roofs
Fire-Guard
can be applied by spray mechanisms.
Fire-Guard
consists of a water based emulsion, equipment can therefore be washed with
ordinary tap water.
Fire-Guard
is an opaque milky fluid with low viscosity, and will dry to a clear non shiny
finish.
Surfaces
to be coated with
Fire-Guard
should be clean and dry prior to application, free from dust, dirt, grime etc.
When
applying
Fire-Guard,
all surfaces should be treated, both inside and outside.
Fire-Guard emits no fumes to speak of, thus indoor applications can be undertaken without specific ventilation equipment.
Fire-Guard has self extinguishing properties
Fire-Guard is activated to resist fungus, mildew and algae giving it advanced longevity and improved health properties
Fire-Guard also has insecticidal properties making it unattractive to destructive insects.
Fire-Guard discourages the presence of destructive birds.
Fire-Guard is environmentally friendly.
Fire-Guard applied to thatch is not effected by rain and weather.
Coverage
Fire-Guard
covers, on solid
substrates, approx. up to 20 square meters per liter, depending on the porosity.
On thatch the spread rate should approximate 4 squares meters per liter.
For soaking applications use about half to one liter per 2 square meters.
