Marblite is a swimming pool plaster consisting of cement and marble chip tinted to a variety of colours such as white, light grey, blue, green and black. Various other colours can be blended to suit the customers requirements.
The substrate should be clean, dry and stable. Keying the substrate by way of chipping with a chissel is good practice.
Mixture
The ratio of 8 kg`s of Marble chip to 5 kg`s of cement powder is ideal, wetted with water to the correct consistancy.
Hydro-Guard can be used in conjunction with Marblite to improve Marblite`s performance.
By adding Fortified Hydro-Guard to the Marblite mixture, Marblite is transformed into a algae resistant finish that displays significant propensity to inhibit the growth of a wide variety of algae on the surface of the pool. This technology is a "first of its kind" in swimming pool surfacing.
Application
Apply by trowel to a thickness of 6 to 10 mm. Allow the plaster to dry properly and cure by wetting with a light spray daily for a week or two before filling the pool. Fill through the weir or by placing a bucket under the spout. Don`t let water fall or flow directly onto the new plaster.
