Nova-Glaze
is an easy to apply carefully formulated reinforced, modified resin system for application to swimming pools , bathrooms, acid dip tanks, effluent pits, effluent drains etc. or where ever excess water or moisture is expected with or without corrosive properties.Nova-Glaze is a 3 component system comprising of a 2 pack system for the first coat which consists of solids and resin blends to be mixed together in the proportion of 4 parts by volume of solids to 3 parts by volume of fluids.
This mixture is then applied to the correctly prepared surface by brush, roller or spray applicators. Drying time is about 20 minutes.
Depending on conditions it may or may not be necessary to apply a second coat.
A final coat of acid resistant glazing is now applied to the primary coat.
This final coat makes use of a catalyst to be added to the fluid and mixed properly.
The ratio for catalyst to fluid is 100 ml. Of catalyst to 5 kg`s of Fluid.
Drying time is about 3 hours, however allow 24 hours to cure before using.
Depending on conditions a second coat may be necessary.
The final result is a tough smooth attractive finish which will withstand the rigours of corrosive conditions.
Nova-Glaze comes in a variety of colours.
Nova-Glaze is a modified polyester resin with special broad band acid resistant properties not unlike fibre glass systems.
The substrate should be clean, dry and stable.
Coverage for the first coat approx. 2 square meters per kg. Per coat and for the final glaze coat approx 2 square meters per kg per coat.
