How long does NU-Thatch® last and what about maintenance
Once applied, Nu-Thatch® will literally last for decades.
Maintenance of the thatch is minimum. Annual inspections as well as touch ups are all that are needed to ensure the thatch stays fresh and golden in its colour.
The thatch will not decompose, turn black, crumble or oxidize, as long as inspections and touch-ups are performed.
This routine procedure ensures that damage due to severe weather, hail, birds, monkeys, or other unforeseen events can be taken care of before the problem becomes more complex.
The thatch roof will always look new. Nu-Thatch® treated grass is practically indistinguishable from new thatch grass.
This treatment will result in never again having dust problems on the inside of the thatch in future. The process takes care of insects, mould, fungus, algae, moss and damp.
