PRODUCT INFORMATION
Acetone is a clear and colourless, quick drying solvent also known as propanone.
It evaporates easily at low temperatures making it ideal for thinning alkyd resins, varnishes as well as enamel paints.
Acetone can be added to oil-based paints that have over evaporated and become too thick to work with which helps improve the coverage.
Use this product to clean equipment after painting with enamels and varnishes.
Also use Acetone to clean and prepare surfaces before painting.
APPLICATION
Add acetone to the coating slowly while mixing until the right consistency is achieved.
Add up to 40% by volume to varnishes or enamel paints but not more.
Use small amounts of acetone at a time when cleaning brushes and equipment.
Up to three washes required to clean brushes and equipment depending on the varnish or enamel.
It is advisable to use acetone with caution in a well ventilated space as the product is volatile and also combustible.
