Sno-Coat™ is an advanced roof cooling paint ( Infrared thermal radiation reflector ) that can reduce internal temperatures to below ambient.
Use Sno-Coat™ for the purpose of cooling your building or structure dramatically.
Our advanced roof cooling paint has superior adhesion propensity, better opacity, extended coverage as well as a higher cooling capacity. In addition, It is chip, blister, crack and also peel resistant.
This product is a liquid paint coating radiation barrier and highly effective reflector of radiation, confirmed by SABS tests.
Sno-Coat™ consists of a specialized dispersion containing state of the art nano particles.
It is unaffected by ultra violet light, is acid resistant, waterproof, hard wearing, long lasting, flexible as well as impact resistant.
Our advanced roof cooling paint can be applied to ANY surface including galvanized iron and also glass.
In addition to the above, When used by the fresh fruit and vegetable industry, our product helps to significantly reduce inside storage temperatures, thereby prolonging shelf life which translates into huge financial savings.
When applied outside in dry weather, the drying time will be approximately 30 minutes to the touch.
Use Sno-Coat™ to cool your home and do away with the need for an air conditioning system.

6 light colours to choose from ( white works best )

Sno-Coat™ is suitable for use on steel, IBR, Harveytile, cement fibre, asbestos, concrete and shingle roofs.
Some examples of ideal uses for Sno-Coat™ are shopping centres, hotels, churches, farming warehouses, homes, factories, schools, office buildings and hospitals.
We recommend the use of Sno-Coat™ on any building that is in need of cooling and thermal shock protection.

Surface preparation
Ensure that the surface is free of loose paint, dirt, grease as well as grime.
In addition, the substrate must be dry prior to applying Sno-Coat™.
Application
Apply by brush roller as well as spray applicators.
( minimum of 2 coats recommended )
When used in conjunction with our primer Dead-End™, Sno-Coat™ achieves a 100% adhesion as tested by SABS.
Coverage
4 to 5 square metres per litre depending on the substrate as well as method of application.

Experience up to 25% decrease in roof temperature amounting to huge energy savings.

SABS TESTS CONDUCTED AND RESULTS OBTAINED
Thermal Insulation Coating.
Test report 7222/ 2090038/v 76
Product was tested for:
Heat absorption of air inside treated and non-treated containers.
Adhesion of thermal coating.
Test methods:
Adhesion – requirements in accordance with SABS ISO 2409 : 1992
Two containers – one coated one non-coated.
Inside temperatures measured with thermocouple at 1 hour intervals
Between 11:00 and 15:00.
Test window:
12 April 2002
Results:
Adhesion – 100 % adhesion, no loss.
Inside Temp – Temp in coated container is always lower than uncoated by approx. 18%.
As ambient temp. drops air in coated container drops slower than uncoated container confirming insulating properties.

MORE ABOUT SNO-COAT™
Our advanced roof cooling paint prevents thermal shock to roof sheets as well as ensuring no roof bolts pop or slip loose which also means a prolonged roof life.
In relation to the above, Sno-Coat™ applied to flat concrete roofs helps to prevent thermal shock here, to a remarkable degree, thus putting an end to expansion and contraction of these structures which in turn prevents these roofs from cracking and leaking.
Consequently, a feature of these types of structures. In addition, architects, builders engineers etc. often go to enormous lengths, at great expense to achieve similar results.
However, on flat concrete roofs Sno-Coat™ will always be the best option.
However, In-Situ applications, there is no need to stop production or interfere in any way with on going activities in order to apply Sno-Coat™, Quiet interference free applications ensure this, no fumes, no problems!
In conclusion, Cosmo-Dec`s hi tech approach to it`s coating technology means we are always at the forefront when it comes to new innovative ideas.
Typically payback periods vary between 2 to 5 years depending on the structure type and size. Factors taken into account to determine this are size of building, height of roof, roof material, ceiling, air conditioning, heating, electricity tariffs, climate.

Cosmo-Dec Everlasting Coatings originated in 1991, with a single product – Therma-Masta™.
Knowledge gained from manufacturing this complex and unique product allowed us to formulate new and innovative products such as Fire-Guard™, Aqua-Mite™, Aqua-Therm™, Clean-Air, etc. for specialty applications.
To-day, 3 decades on we manufacture more than 80 different types of construction chemicals out of our factory in Pretoria, Gauteng.
