Xylene is a clear and colourless, quick drying solvent also known as Xylol.
It evaporates easily at low temperatures making it ideal for thinning alkyd resins, varnishes, oil based rubber paints as well as enamel paints.
Xylene can be added to oil-based paints that have over evaporated and become too thick to work with which helps improve the coverage.
Use this product to clean equipment after painting with enamels and varnishes.
Also use Xylene to clean and prepare surfaces that have grime and oil before painting.

Add the solvent to the coating slowly while mixing until the right consistency is achieved.
Add up to 40% by volume to varnishes or enamel paints but not more.
Use small amounts of Xylene at a time when cleaning brushes and equipment.
Up to three washes required to clean brushes and equipment depending on the varnish or enamel.
Apply a small amount of Xylene to a washcloth and rub off any dirt, grime or oil on surfaces before painting for a clean finish
It is advisable to use Xylene with caution in a well ventilated space as the product is volatile and also combustible.
