SNO-COAT® – ADVANCED ROOF COOLING PAINT
For this demo video we built 2 light boxes with 170 watt infra red heating lamps placed above the lids to imitate the heating effects of the sun. We applied 2 coats of Sno-Coat® – Advanced roof cooling paint and the other box was left with no cooling coating applied.
We then conducted a 5 minute test, taking readings from inside the boxes with digital thermometers attached close to the roof of the boxes to see if the interior of the structure heats up less when Sno-Coat® – Advanced roof cooling paint is applied to the roof.
Our results show a 17% difference in temperature after the 5 minute test.
How does this relate to a building?
If your building has an internal temperature of 29 degrees Celsius before applying a cooling coating. You can expect an internal temperature drop of roughly 4 degrees Celsius when Sno-Coat® – Advanced roof cooling paint is applied.
