Dead-End® has the following properties
Product information
Dead-End® is a single component liquid designed to be applied as a primer to any surface that also acts as an interface between the surface and the coating.
Dead-End® prevents rust and assists with waterproofing, Dead-End® is specially good when used with Sno-Coat on our product list, it creates an impenetrable vapor barrier That prevents damp.
It works very well when painted onto steel reinforcing before enclosing the reinforcing in concrete, in helping to prevent the reinforcing from rusting. Dead-End® works well on galvanized metal as an undercoat or bonding agent and also acts against rust formation.
Dead-End® is especially good on asbestos, cement fiber and harvey tile products, acting as a excellent sealer of the fibres.
This product acts as an excellent bonding agent, primer, undercoat between masonry, mortar, plaster as well as for off shutter concrete.
Also use Dead-End® with water miscible over coats.
Dead-End® is water based, thus equipment can be washed with ordinary tap water while still wet.

Inhalation of vapour
May cause dizziness or headache. Remove to fresh air
Skin contact
Skin irritation may be caused by direct and also prolonged contact.
Wash with water as well as soap carefully.
Remove soiled clothing.
Eye contact
May cause temporary irritation. Wash out with plenty of water.
If irritation persists, seek medical attention.

Large spillages should be contained and also pumped into a receiving vessel.

7. HANDLING & STORAGE
Handling
No special precautions needed with normal housekeeping.
Storage
Protect from frost and direct sunlight.
Store between +5 and +35ºC
Do not use storage vessels or pipework made of aluminium and also copper or it’s alloys.
Bulk tanks should be regularly cleaned and sterilised at least annually to prevent accumulation of micro-organisms.
Observe safe tank entry procedures.

8. EXPOSURE CONTROLS / PERSONAL PROTECTION
Advice for technical equipment
Provide good general ventilation in the workplace.
Where the product is dried or sprayed, local extraction is also recommended.
Exposure controls
The product contains low levels of volatile organic compounds which may evaporate during application and drying.
Also a small quantity of ammonia has to be considered.
Personal protective equipment
Respiratory protection
In poor ventilation, eg inside storage tanks or when spraying without proper extraction, wear a suitable respirator.
Hand protection
For frequent contact also wear impermeable gloves.
Eye protection
Goggles, face visor as well as safety glasses advised.
Skin protection
If there is a risk of severe splashing, also wear waterproof overalls.

13 DISPOSAL CONSIDERATIONS
The product and waste water containing product should not be discharged directly into drains as well as waterways without treatment. The polymer content may be separated in a suitable coagulation and purification plant. Details available on request.
Disposal of the product, solid waste and packaging should always comply with local, national or EU regulations and be undertaken by an authorised contractor.
