Fire-Guard™ is lab tested to an A rating with the propensity to substantially retard fire, and also has self extinguishing properties.
In addition, our certificate complies with SABS testing regulations and is accepted by all insurance companies.

Fire-Guard™ has very good waterproofing, weather-proofing as well as fire-protecting properties.
Our product is UV stable and absorbs into the substrate, thus has a prolonged outdoor life expectancy.
This accredited thatch fire retardant is SANS 10407 compliant and activated to resist fungus, mildew as well as algae.
Fire-Guard™ also has insecticidal properties making it unattractive to insects and birds.
This product is environmentally friendly as well as non-toxic.

APPLICATION
The surface must be clean and dry, free from dirt, dust as well as grime.
Our accredited thatch fire retardant chemical emits no fumes, thus indoor applications can be done without ventilation equipment.
Apply Fire-Guard™ by brush, roller spray and also dip.
In addition, new thatch grass can be soaked in a bath of Fire-Guard™ for a few minutes before being allowed to dry for an hour.
Wash equipment with water as well as soap if desired.
COVERAGE
Fire-Guard™ covers, from 2 to 7 square meters per liter, depending on the surface type as well as the method of application.
However, on thatch the spread rate is 1 to 4 square meters per liter and for soaking applications use 1,5 to 2 liters per square meter.

COMPOSITION
Fire-Guard™ is a low-viscosity, milky blue fluid; furthermore, it dries to a clear finish.
